After revealing it in March this year, the Honda CRF 250 Rally concept baby enduro was an enticing prospect amongst fans. And now, a reliable source is reporting that the mighty red wing marque will put the concept into production very soon.

Reports indicate that the firm has trademarked the ‘CRF 250 Rally’ name with EU authorities, along with indications to have it offered for sale in the marque’s showrooms.

The original concept was essentially the standard Honda CRF250L production bike donning a special bodywork set that replicates the s CRF450 Rally factory race machines as used on the famed Dakar rally. With that, it is easy to see that no R&D was needed should Honda opt to mass-produce it.

Besides the trademarking, our source have also obtained design patents filed by the firm, with the CAD/CAM documents detailing the bike’s styling. Changes are minimal but expected such as a new street-legal exhaust plus different brakes, mirrors and bars.

A launch date has not been determined, but many believe that the road-going Honda CRF 250 Rally could make its debut during EICMA later this month. This however remains to be seen still.
