BMW Motorrad recently released a video online detailing its new entry-level naked, the all-new BMW G310R. The famed German brand stunned the motorcycling world with its move to go down-market with its new creation.
The firm’s newly released promotional video posted above detailing the new bike closely, highlighting some of this baby beemer’s unique traits and features.
Having established a strong foothold in the large-capacity segments already, perhaps the creation of the all-new BMW G310R was a step the German brand had to naturally take. Crucially though, the firm has aimed for its new baby model to dominate markets worldwide, and the effort it undertook reflects that very clearly.
The new BMW G310R is the fruit of a partnership forged by the German powerhouse with one of India’s leading bike manufacturers, TVS. Underneath, the BMW G310R is powered by a newly developed 313cc single-cylinder that develops 34hp to propel its claimed unladen weight of 158.5kg up to speeds (more details here).
Adopting similar steps as Austrian rivals KTM, the BMW G310R is being produced in India. This move will allow BMW to potentially price the G310R competitively against its segment rivals, one of which being the rivalling Austrian marque’s popular 390 Duke model.
In short, this is definitely one bike to look out in 2016.
